Bunnahabhain
Bunnahabhain distillery is founded in 1881 by William Robertson, along with Islay distillers Co. It located at north east coast of Islay. Bunnahabhain is a substantial Victorian distillery which smachks of the confidence of that period. Its aging has traditionally been in ex- Sherrry casks which adds a sumptuous sweet richness to the spirit though quite where the spicy ginger note, which is a marker for Bunna', comes from is unclear. Bunnahabhain single malt whisky are also famously used in blended whiskies, especially in Robertson & Baxter’s The Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Black Bottle Blended.
