"Tamashii" is Soul  or Spirit in Japanese. Bottled by Mizunara for its 4th anniversary, matured in refill bourbon barrel. Subtle peat smoke, charcoal ash & earthy notes combined with sweet vanilla, honey, citrus and fresh tropical fruits like banana. Vanilla sweetness combined with a saltiness that finally gives way to peppery notes and spices such as cloves and hints of dark chocolate. Nice long and complex finish.

A limited release of 251 bottles worldwide with the label designed by a Japanese artist Kenro Shinchi. WhiskyFun rated 85 points (SGP 564) Extract "Mouth (neat): it’s really good, I’d almost call this ‘good thin peat’. Limoncello, oysters, ashes, riesling, mercurochrome ...With water: same, while the body got bigger rather than thinner once water’s been added. Comments: very good for sure, just rather ‘hesitating’."

Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023. Cask No. 11064. Limited to 217 bottles worldwide. Aroma: Sponge Cask, vanilla and buttery, Citrus Peels, caramel and toffee. Taste: Candied sweetness, Some nuttiness followed by salted caramel and spices. Finish: Long with warm spices like cloves and cinnamon.

We would highly recommend to add water to see how this whisky evolves beautifully with enhanced citrus and sweet mandarin notes combined with some baked tarts balanced with some minerality and saltiness. A very enjoyable whisky indeed.

A new addition to the Dalmore range, this is a different release than the usual 12 Year old from Dalmore. Matured in ex-bourbon casks for about ten years and further "finished" for about 24 months in a combination of American & European casks from 3 different Andalucian cooperages (Tevasa, Vasyma, Paez) bringing together the influence of a variety of Sherry including Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. Nose: Caramelised orange, ginger and sultanas, laced with honey Palate: Dark chocolate and crushed almonds with a dusting of cinnamon Finish: Sweet mango, pannacotta and lemon sponge cake (Tasting Notes from the Producer)

GlenDronach 21 years old is named Parliament after the parliament of rooks guarding the warehouse of the distillery. This whisky is a marraige of spirit matured in Pedro Ximenez casks and Oloroso Sherry casks from Andalucia in Spain. A full bodied and richly sherried whisky, with notes of elegant ripe blueberries, plums, candied orange, pudding. A finish which is warm with dark chocolate treacle.

A 2008 Vintage special bottling from the GlenDronach distillery, matured for 11 years in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks from Spain and selected by Rachel Barrie for the Professional Danish Retailers. With a burnished copper hue and aroma of honey, spices, hazelnut and raisins, the palate is rich in creamy malt, toasted oak, chocolates and honeycomb with a lingering finish of nutmeg and crystallized ginger. A limited release of about 3500 bottles in 2019.

Aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, The Hielan'  essentially refers to the The Highland Region. Whilst most of the older GlenDronach range of bottlings are quite heavily sherried, rich and sweet, this youngster stands out amongst the rest of the distillery’s core range. Bold with notes of nuts, butterscotch, spice along with hints of raisin and citrus.  If you like the malty flavours with the boldness of this youngster, this whisky is for you.

This is the core expression from the Clynelish Distillery (successor to the now-silent Brora and built opposite the original distillery). A very well balanced and enjoyable single malt, which is unpeated/very lighty peated and a flavour profile with characteristic waxy notes. Color: Gold Nose: floral, fresh green fruits like apple and pear followed by waxy honey, some mineral notes and tangerine and vanilla Palate: rich body which delivers more than the stated ABV but easy sip on the palate with slight waxiness, honey sweetness, toffee, orange and some subtle oak Finish: reasonably long with intermittent bitter sweet notes, some oak spices and pepper.

Distilled in 2007 this Oban is double-matured in Montilla Fino Sherry Casks after an initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks. Nose: Fruity with sea salt, grapes, orange, hints of smoke and sourness Palate: Soft cereal maltiness, with delicate fruits and salt Finish: Sweetened Jamaican coffee and oak, with malt-biscuits (Producer Tasting Notes)

Oban Distillers Edition releases have won Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2008 and 2011. It also won International Wine and Spirit Competition Gold in 2002 and 2010 (Best in Class). In 2020, it won a third Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

A peated Glendronach is not something that you see often though we must emphasize that it comes across as gently or lightly peated. Initially matured in bourbon casks and then into Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, this whisky leans more towards bourban cask flavors -  honey wax, malty, floral, spicy notes and subtle smoky elements. More earthy notes than the usual islay smoke or maritime saltiness while retaining the character of the Glendronach spirit.

Selected by Film Director, Matthew Vaughn, to celebrate the release of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’. 1991, the birth year of Kingsman agent Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin is also the vintage of the whisky selected for this bottling by Whisky Maker Rachel Barrie and matured in the finest sherry casks. Only 2137 bottles were released.  Color: Deep walnut brown. Nose: black grapes with antique leather, leaf tobacco. Palate: Ripe plums, citrus orange, old Jamaican ginger with ground coffee, dark chocolate and walnut raisin cake. A very special whisky indeed. Rated 90+ on Whiskybase over 100 Votes.

Matured in American Ex-Bourbon and Spanish Ex-Sherry casks, this 35 Year Old whisky from Old Pulteney is the Limited Edition First Release of 2014 with a total outturn of about 1350 bottles. The exquisite wooden box packaging is a clear reminder of the Distillery's maritime heritage. "Honeyed sweetness, exotic spices and citrus is followed by fruit cake and bitter chocolate. Over time gentle undertones open up with hints of fresh vanilla and sticky toffee pudding. Sweet and spicy and quickly develops a range of signature Old Pulteney flavours from honey, rum soaked raisins and Californian oranges to the heavier notes of seasoned leather, pralines and a touch of the salty North Sea air. A very Rare Single Cask of Clynelish (under the Cask of Distinction* program of Diageo) distilled in 1997 and bottled on 15th October 2018 with only 405 bottles being released. This whisky has been matured in Cask No. 7555, an ex-Sherry Butt ad bottled exclusively for Boyao Zhao (a well-known Chinese whiskey connoisseur, who has also launched a variety of other Cask of Distinction series including Lagavulin, Talisker, Port Ellen and Brora etc).
