Matured for 12 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, this 12 year bottling is named after the smallest of their six copper stills, named "The Wee Witchie". Mortlach's unique and precise 2.81 times distillation technique which is 0.81 more than the usual Scotch standard has also given it the reputation as the "Beast of Dufftown". Rich and fruity with hints of umami, light spice, dark chocolate and cherries leading to a smooth yet dry finish. (Tasting Notes from the Producer)

This Speyside single malt from Mortlach distillery was specially bottled by Gordon & MacPhail to commemorate the Royal Marriage of H.R.H Prince Andrew and Miss Sarah Ferguson on 23rd July 1986. A marriage of whiskies distilled in the year of 1959 and 1960 representing the birth year of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson this was released in 1986.

They are usually small batch, single cask whiskies which are rare and aged and of exceptional quality. These series of bottlings were first launched in the late 1990s.
