Released between 2001 and 2004, the 1977 vintage is a rare old bottling from Ardbeg. This particular bottle, we believe was released in 2001. A full bodied perfect balance of sweetness, fruit and intense smoky aromas with hints of toffee and fudge followed by mandarin fruit.

TUN 1509 is one of Balvenie's traditional oak vatting/marrying vessels with a capacity of 8000L. The size of these TUNs allowed Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE (with over 50 years of experience) and who possesses an unequalled knowledge of The Balvenie to hand-select a variety of vintage casks and marry them in Tun 1509, housed in Warehouse 24. Rated 5 Stars (90 points) by Whiskyfun and over 90+ by over 350 votes on Whiskybase.

The success of The Balvenie's TUN 1401 series meant that a bigger vat was needed, and in came TUN 1509. One batch is bottled each year and this is the first batch of TUN1509 released in 2014 comprising 42 of the finest casks – 35 traditional American oak barrels and seven European oak sherry butts. This is a limited release of 11,000 bottles.

This release on the back of the huge success of the first release (of the same vintage aged 28 years and released in March 2013) was also distilled in 1984 and matured in bourbon casks, which sat in Bowmore's famed No.1 Vaults for 30 years and was bottled in 2014 at cask strength. A beautiful deep gold color with citrus and mint dark chocolate on the nose, the palate is made up of honey, hints of ginger and a finish of elegant fruits and spices with dark chocolate. Only 500 bottles were released.

Bowmore No Corners to Hide captures the distillery's past and the legends which define it – via two expressions, this 23-Year-Old bottling and a 32-Year-Old, creating the first chapter of the Frank Quitely Series. A collaboration between the acclaimed graphic artist and Bowmore’s Master Blender this bottling pays homage to a legend, the Devil which has shaped the village of Bowmore. After the initial maturation in American oak hogsheads the liquid continued its journey into Essencia® barriques, a rare ‘Rose Oak’ dating back to the 1830s, to bring an exceptionally deep, powerful and distinctive character to the fore. 

Aroma of incense, beeswax and a struck match transport the senses to Bowmore’s round church. The unmistakable notes of Bowmore’s subtle peat smoke, brine and oak linger on the finish, tempting the soul. (Tasting Notes from the Producer)

This is a marriage of the East and the West. Legendary Mizunara Oak Casks which have been unique to Japanese Whisky,  travelled 6000 miles from Japan to Islay and sat in Bowmore's equally legendary No.1 Vaults to finish this remarkable creation.

Originally matured in Bourbon and Sherry Casks, which were then finished in Mizunara Oak Casks for about 3 years.

Mizunara Oak maturation usually imparts unique flavours of sandalwood and coconut. Bowmore Official Tasting Notes (Website) for this bottling. This Bruichladdich 25 years is a very special edition originally released for the Travel Retail market. An unpeated Islay Single Malt whisky with complex maturation (executed in collaboration with winemaker Jan Pettersen) which includes Oloroso Sherry and PX (Pedro Ximinez) Sherry Casks. Finding a Bruichladdich matured in Sherry Casks is quite unusual since the new make is fairly delicate and floral and the folks at Bruichladdich are extra careful that the maturation in Sherry Casks should not overpower these distillery characteristics.

A very Rare Single Cask of Clynelish (under the Cask of Distinction* program of Diageo) distilled in 1997 and bottled on 15th October 2018 with only 405 bottles being released. This whisky has been matured in Cask No. 7555, an ex-Sherry Butt ad bottled exclusively for Boyao Zhao (a well-known Chinese whiskey connoisseur, who has also launched a variety of other Cask of Distinction series including Lagavulin, Talisker, Port Ellen and Brora etc).

Distilled on 1st September and 19th November 1953, this was Bottled on 11th August 2006 after being matured in First Fill and Refill sherry casks #2600 & #3597. Nose: Displays aromas of ripe oranges, polished hardwood floors and old leather. Some heathery notes develop along with a touch of menthol and vanilla. Palate: Very fruity, juicy ripe oranges along with dark chocolate, toasted malt and a developing edge. Finish: Smooth and long finish with a menthol note remaining.

Distilled in 1954 and bottled in 2012 matured in sherry cask. This whisky bottled by Gordon & MacPhail and aged for about 57 years. A rare and vintage bottling which is difficult to find. Golden amber in colour. Nose: Full of Corinth raisins, prunes, marmalade, chocolate, a sweet summer fruit with old leather. Palate: Peppery initially with tropical fruit and menthol flavour. Finish: Long with a touch of smoke.

Distilled on 13th December 1956 and bottled on 18th February 2008, this exclusive whisky was matured in First Fill Sherry Butts. Cask Number: #4442 & #4446. Deep golden in colour. Nose: Rich aromatic character, fruity and hints of spice, treacle and syrup aromas. Palate: Reveals leafy, grass notes along with hints of oak. Finish: luxurious rich spicy flavours.

Palate: sweet with hints of stewed apple and pear. Finish: Long with a lingering edge of coffee notes. A rare and vintage bottling which is difficult to find.
