This is a single cask and bottled at natural cask strength, exclusive to John Milroy. Light golden color with an elegant long lingering aroma of peat and smoke. Fills the palate with an exquisite coating of tarry seaweed infused with sublime smokey peat and a long nutty fruit finish. Enhanced by the addition of a little water.
Closed in 1983, Port Ellen has since become a highly collectible whisky and one with a great fan following.

An old presentation (released around 2013) bottle of "The Balvenie 30 Year Old", crafted by malt master David Stewart by vatting Whisky matured in traditional and European oak casks. In our opinion this is indeed a masterpiece and showcases the skills of the malt master in creating a beautifully balanced and impressive aged whisky bottled at a higher ABV of 47.3%. Rich dark chocolate, hints of plum, marzipan and caramelized pear.
This series has been a Gold Medal winner at the 2004 IWSC and the 2013 release won a Gold Outstanding at the IWSC and Best Speyside Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2013.

Bottled in 2014, this is a distillery bottling with 4530 bottles released by Diageo as a part of its limited releases. The distillery, one of the iconic distilleries in Lowland region of Scotland, was closed in 1993 (a year after this liquid was distilled) and is currently in the process of being revived by Ian Macleod Distillers. This bottling has been rated at 90+ points on Whiskybase over 160 votes. Matured in a Refill American Oak, it is an excellent whisky with cereal notes, floral freshness, mint, citrus zest, fresh fruits and an elegant finish. A rare bottling indeed.

Only 2137 bottles were released. Color: Deep walnut brown. Nose: black grapes with antique leather, leaf tobacco.
