This Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Springbank Distillery was matured for 10 years in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. It offers a complex mixture of mineral-earthy and fruity notes. Nose: Orchard fruit (pear) with a hint of peat, vanilla and malt. Palate: Malt, oak, spice, nutmeg and cinnamon, vanilla essence. Finish: Sweet, with a lingering salty tingle (Tasting Notes from the distillery).  World Whiskies Award 2014.

The Longrow 18 years uses peat dried malt for 48 hours to give  a unique Campbeltown-style smoky character. Less than 100 casks of Longrow are filled each year and this one bottled in 2022 is matured in 100% sherry cask.

First distilled in 1973, Longrow is the double distilled, heavily peated style Single Malt from the Springbank Distillery. This Longrow 18 years is a limited edtion, and reportedly a vatting of 60% matured in refill sherry casks and 40% in bourbon casks, bottled in 2017 with 4500 bottles released. Nose: sweet fruits, vanilla, oak with smoke and maritime notes Palate: very creamy and oily mouth feel with grapefruits, passion fruit, caramel and more red fruits Finish: wonderful balance of salty smoke and subtle sweetness of some dark fruits perhaps coming from the refill sherry cask with a dry and long finish.

A series of Annual releases distilled in June 2010 from barley grown locally around Campbeltown for producing a 100% Campbeltown Single Malt. This December 2020 release uses the barley type - Belgravia, was grown at the Glencraigs Farm and matured in Oloroso Sherry Casks for about 10 Years. Limited Release of only 8500 bottles. Rated 89+ over 625 votes.

Hazelburn is a triple distilled, non peated single malt whisky produced at the Springbank Distillery. This Hazelburn 21 Years Old has been matured in 70% Sherry Cask and 30% Bourbon Cask. Released in 2022 with 3600 bottles only. 

Fruity and spicy with dried fruits, tobacco and varnished wood. Along side there is some charcoal, grassy moss and a harmonious bunch of dark fruits, indicative of the Sherry Cask component though some lemon/citrus notes keep wafting in and out.

Nose: A sweet yet meaty dram there are aromas of glazed cherries and cured salty meats. Stewed dark plummy notes and chewy black wine gums. Maple syrup and crispy bacon with a medicinal influence from the robust peat smoke. It seems brighter on the nose with a touch of zesty orange peel. Palate: Sweet, smoky and waxy with a twist of citrus. Caramel shortbread with marzipan, lemon zest and a dusting of icing sugar. Waxy crayons and rich dried fruits with a touch of clove spiciness. Finish: Sweet, smoky and waxy with a twist of citrus. Caramel shortbread with marzipan, lemon zest and a dusting of icing sugar. This Springbank 21 Year is a limited edition bottling matured in 55% Sherry Cask and 45% Port Cask and released in 2022. Rich and complex with some smoke and dark fruits sweetness, salted caramel, ginger and black pepper with subtle mineral notes. About 3600 bottles are reported to have been released.

A 21-year-old bottle of Springbank presented in a dumpy bottle for Italian importer Consorzio Vinicolo. Estimated to be bottled in the 1980s, this bottling offers sherry sweet and fruity flavours with some notes of vanilla and old rum, long and spicy finish. Scored 5 stars on Whiskyfun (91 points).
