This is a non chill-filtered natural color whisky. A world blended whisky which combines Whisky from the Asaka Distillery owned by Sasanokawa Shuzo & 4 other unnamed distilleries from different whisky regions around the world. The key malt comes from the Asaka Distillery (Japan) while the other whiskies are from Scotland, Ireland, USA and Canada (& 4) 

Tasting Notes: A hint of maple syrup and floral notes on the nose combined with a rich malt on the palate with some cereal notes, hint of spices and and subtle smoky aftertaste.

Ardbeg 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the peatiest and most complex whiskies globally. It balances intense peat with the natural sweetness of malt. Awarded World Whisky of the Year in 2008, it has a light gold color and aromas of smoky fruit, zesty lemon and lime, and waxy dark chocolate. On the palate, it offers crackling peat, tangy citrus, black pepper, and cinnamon-spiced toffee, alongside briny notes of buttermilk, ripe bananas, and currants. Triple Distillation helps to concentrate not only the alcohol in the whisky, but also helps create lighter, more fruity flavours. Having only two stills, we performed the final two distillations in our 3600 litre spirit still, separating the hearts from the heads and tails each time. This bottling has been matured in only the finest first fill bourbon barrels.

Nose: Rich honey and vanilla with hints of citrus and toffee. Palate: A delightful mix of rich vanilla bean and butterscotch, complemented by sweet citrus notes and a hint of pepper clove. Finish: A long and rich finish, leaving a memorable impression. (Tasting Note from Distillery)

The winter malt was inspired by the unique selection of New Zealand malts that we chose for our mashbill: Manuka Smoked Mal, Chocolate Roasted Malt, Toffee Malt, Laureate Distillers Malt. Then the distillery aged the Winter malt in only the finest first fill bourbon barrels.

Manuka Smoked Malt: The world’s only manuka smoked malt, offering a smooth, sweet smokiness.
Chocolate Roasted Malt: Specially roasted for Pōkeno, featuring delightful coffee and chocolate aromas.
Toffee Malt: Roasted at low temperatures and caramelized, imparting honey and toffee flavors.
Laureate Distillers Malt: A sweet and floral malt that enhances the overall profile.

This whisky released in Jan 2023 has been distilled using a combination of their 3 pot stills and aged in re-charred American white oak ex-“Mellowed Kozuru” aged SHOCHU casks. Kanosuke Distillery is located on the picturesque shores of Fukiagehama beach in Kagoshima was established in 2017 and started its operations in 2018. The Whisky Distillery is owned by Komasa Jyozo, one of the Shochu producers in Japan and currently counts Diageo as one its shareholders (via Distill Ventures, Diageo's Drinks Accelerator).

This double oaked Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from Woodford Reserve delivers a rich, soft and sweet vanilla and caramel notes balanced with some oak. The 100% Islay 11th Edition was distilled from 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011 barley (Optic & Publican) harvests before being matured in 26 bourbon barrels and 7 oloroso sherry butts for a minimum of 9 years. This unique Single Farm Single Malt is the only whisky in Scotland to be produced entirely on one farm, from barley to bottle. The barley was then malted onsite and peated using local Islay peat before being distilled, matured and eventually bottled all within the farm distillery’s premises. Limited to 12,000 bottles.
