A non-chill filtered Balvenie which was matured in traditional oak whisky casks (i.e. ex-Bourbon American Oak) and further finished in Golden Caribbean Rum cask. Bottled at 47.5%, this is a beautiful combination of fruit and spice. Chocolate, orange and vanilla build into a dry oaky finish. (Tasting Notes from Producer). This was launched in 2010 as a travel retail exclusive.

Mortlach's unique and precise 2.81 times distillation technique which is 0.81 more than the usual Scotch standard has also given it the reputation as the "Beast of Dufftown". Matured exclusively in spanish oloroso sherry butts, this A'bunadh is the Batch 67 release from Aberlour. A'bunadh means "The Original" in Gaelic and is a respectful toast to the founder of Aberlour, James Fleming. Bottled at cask strength, this is an intensely rich sherried whisky. Aroma of spices, pralines, spiced oranges with a palate of black cherries, ginger and dark chocolate. The finish is long and balanced with hints of oak.

Usually a vatting of 5 - 25 year old Whiskies, the A'bunadh range is a highly awarded release from this distillery.

Released in August 2012, this whisky has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create the ideal finish Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums and when he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the aged spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches. The result is the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish.  Nose: Rich, sweet and creamy toffee on the nose combines with fresh fruit notes Palate: Rounded with vanilla and sweet oak notes, with a fruity character that develops with time Finish: Soft and lingering

Selected by David Stewart, the Balvenie Malt Master at the time this rare single cask #15354 from 1975  was distilled on 23rd September 1975 and bottled in April 2008 at a cask strength of 47.3% ABV. Bottled for the Taiwan market, only 216 bottles were released. "A richly complex aroma that is a harmonious blend of floral, fruity and spicy notes ~ including orange, fresh cherries, marzipan, cinnamon and a hint of allspice. Its taste reveals luscious layers of rich fruit, spicy oak, honey and delicate tannins. The flavours flow from sweet vanilla through to dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, apricots) and finish with subtle soft leather and tobacco leaf. Its finish is long and lingering with a crisp dry oakiness." (from Balvenie).

TUN 1509 is one of Balvenie's traditional oak vatting/marrying vessels with a capacity of 8000L. The size of these TUNs allowed Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE (with over 50 years of experience) and who possesses an unequalled knowledge of The Balvenie to hand-select a variety of vintage casks and marry them in Tun 1509, housed in Warehouse 24. Rated 5 Stars (90 points) by Whiskyfun and over 90+ by over 350 votes on Whiskybase.

The success of The Balvenie's TUN 1401 series meant that a bigger vat was needed, and in came TUN 1509. One batch is bottled each year and this is the first batch of TUN1509 released in 2014 comprising 42 of the finest casks – 35 traditional American oak barrels and seven European oak sherry butts. This is a limited release of 11,000 bottles.

A commemorative bottling for the 30th anniversary collection of Silver Seal. Distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2010, this special bottling by Silver Seal offers rich, fruity, and earthy flavours together with some notes of orange and toffee. A high quality bottle which Scored 5 stars (90 points) on Whiskyfun. Only 227 bottles were release. Bottle no. 200 of 227. 

Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000, which was his second bottling company after the esteemed Sestante established in 1979. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi, proprietor of Whisky Antique, in 2010.
