Named after a town on the east coast of India (called Portonova, located on the east coast of India in the Southern State of Tamil Nadu and was co-incidentally also under Portugese control between the 16th and 18th century), this un-peated single malt whisky has been matured in new American oak and ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to once-used port pipes especially imported from Portugal and finally back to ex-bourbon casks. Nose: Fruity sweetness and caramel, burnt apple pie Palate: Spicy and fruity flavor mixed with caramel and oaky saltiness. Finish: Long and fruity with hints of berry fruits.
