This is a Limited Edition of Machir Bay bottled at Cask Strength of 58.3% ABV using the same vatting recipe as the traditional Machir Bay bottling to appreciate the full power and character of Kilchoman's core range.
Nose: Opens with light, fruity notes influenced by our distillation. Being cask strngth, allows for intense waves of fresh green apple followed by candied tropical fruits. Lasting hints of dry, earthy peat smoke become the backbone for this release. Palate: Noticeably power at cask strength allowing for a concentrated palate combining citrus notes of lemon and orange peel. As the whisky opens it reveals a dominant honeycomb-sweetness that makes way for a profile driven by milk chocolate, provided by a Bourbon-rich maturation. Finish: A slight cracking black pepper spice combined with nutmeg. The oily, rich texture of this whisky delivers an increasingly smoky influence. Imperial's history has been dogged by periods of closure and changed ownership several times, until it was finally demolished in 2013. Usually very difficult to find and has somewhat of a fan following of its floral, cream soda, gentle style of spirit.
This bottling by Independent Bottler Signatory Vintage is part of their Cask Strength Collection. Distilled in August 1995 and matured in a Hogshead #50142 for 18 years, it was bottled in January 2014. Only 293 bottles were released.
Nose: Citrus, minerals, almost alkaline balanced with some sweetness. Overall, the nose is quite elegant Palate: Citrus fruits, lemony sweetness with earthiness Finish: The citrus fruits remain with some oak and a warming finish which stays for quite some time.

Kanosuke Distillery located on the picturesque shores of Fukiagehama beach in Kagoshima was established in 2017 and started its operations in 2018. Owned by Komasa Jyozo one of the Shochu producers in Japan, this is the first Single Malt released by this new distillery. Unpeated malt distilled using all 3 of their pot stills and aged in a variety of oak barrels (re-charred American white oak ex-“Mellowed Kozuru” aged shochu casks being the main component of casks used) for about 3 years with about 15,000 bottles being released at a cask strength ABV of 58%. Color: Amber Nose: Very present Oak notes along with some sweet lime, orange marmlade, toffee and an overlay of smoke Palate: Woody, vanilla, cinnamon along with some spiciness Finish: Bitter sweetness of chocolate-covered candied orange peel and some dryness.

Vatted from 10 casks, this single malt from Shinshu was matured in the Tsunuki Aging Cellar for 3 years before being bottled at cask strength. The result is a harmonious blend of sweetness from the bourbon barrels and peaty aromas, with fruity notes of orange and banana present in this single malt whisky.
