Matured in ex-bourbon casks for about ten years and further "finished" for about 24 months in a combination of American & European casks from 3 different Andalucian cooperages (Tevasa, Vasyma, Paez) bringing together the influence of a variety of Sherry including Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. Nose: Caramelised orange, ginger and sultanas, laced with honey Palate: Dark chocolate and crushed almonds with a dusting of cinnamon Finish: Sweet mango, pannacotta and lemon sponge cake (Tasting Notes from the Producer)

'Kadhambam' means "combination" or "mixture" in the Tamil language (one of the many Indian languages and spoken in the state of Tamil Nadu, Southern India). Amrut Kadhambam was matured in three different cask types - Rum, Sherry, and Brandy, which delivers a combination of the aroma and notes from these three barrels. Released to celebrate Amrut Distillery Chairman, Mr. Neel Jagdale's 60th birthday, only 1350 bottles were released in 2017 (this is the second release). This was the oldest age statement at the time of its release and is part of the Greedy Angel's Series of bottlings (with later releases including a10 year and a 12 year old). Distilled using a mix of unpeated Indian barley and peated Scottish barley, this is a special bottling indeed. Tropical fruits with hints of oak combined with sweet malt and vanilla.

Amontillado is a dry sherry wine, darker than Fino and lighter than Oloroso and matures under a cap of flor and then exposed to the air for further oxidation. Toasted almonds and hazelnut are the classic aromas in Amontillado seasoned casks. Color: Rich auburn Nose: Very rich and fruity sweetness with notes of walnuts, almonds, some toffee and a touch of oak. Palate Soft sherry with a hint of caramel and a gentle finish of peppered nuts.

First distilled in 1973, Longrow is the double distilled, heavily peated style Single Malt from the Springbank Distillery. This Longrow 18 years is a limited edtion, and reportedly a vatting of 60% matured in refill sherry casks and 40% in bourbon casks, bottled in 2017 with 4500 bottles released. Nose: sweet fruits, vanilla, oak with smoke and maritime notes Palate: very creamy and oily mouth feel with grapefruits, passion fruit, caramel and more red fruits Finish: wonderful balance of salty smoke and subtle sweetness of some dark fruits perhaps coming from the refill sherry cask with a dry and long finish.

Originally launched in 2016 as a regular release within the Kavalan range, the Sherry Oak release uses the same Oloroso sherry casks used to mature the Solist Sherry expressions except that this has been bottled at 46% strength. Essentially a 46% version of the Kavalan Solist Oloroso Sherry release to be enjoyed straight up/neat. Dried fruits, nuts and raisins are the mainstay of this release.

Longrow 1994 vintage is reportedly matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Vintage releases have since been discontinued by the Distillery. Nose: Subtle fruity mix of smoke and wood, a bit of peat, sea salt and seaweed Palate: Sweetness, honey and vanilla, along with some peppery notes and hint of peat Finish: Lingering peat and smoke.

This Kentucky straight bourbon whisky from Old Forester delivers rich, full bodied and smooth character. Old forester is a family owned distillery, founded by George Garvin Brown in 1870, continuously distilled and marketed by the founding family before, during and after Prohibition. Nose: Sharp and sweet, with a strong floral character that swirls with hints of mint, rich tobacco leaf and vanilla. Palate: A touch of oak and pine provides a strong underpinning. Sharp at first, but softens quickly, with hints of oak, sweet corn and rye grain character. Spicy, with soft vanilla and light orange notes Finish: Long, warm and slightly drying.
