Unlike with the tradition of the classic pennsylvania rye whiskeys which is a high rye (80%-100%) mashbill, Rittenhouse is a low rye (i.e. 51%), which is a modern kentucky rye mashbill. It helps this rye whisky carries a distinct and spicy flavor.
