Distilled on 22nd June 1998 and matured in Bordeaux Wine Barriques for 17 years at the legendary No.1 Vaults (one of the world's oldest Scotch Warehouse) of Bowmore, this is a Distillery Exclusive bottling with only 1500 bottles being released. This has been released under the Craftmen's Collection (and specifically celebrating the Stillmen's role in keeping an expert eye on middle cut or the heart of the distillation). Rich mahogany in color with red stone fruits and baked apple on the nose bursting with tangy stewed fruits on the palate and a lingering sea salt on the finish.

This release on the back of the huge success of the first release (of the same vintage aged 28 years and released in March 2013) was also distilled in 1984 and matured in bourbon casks, which sat in Bowmore's famed No.1 Vaults for 30 years and was bottled in 2014 at cask strength. 500 bottles were released. A beautiful deep gold color with citrus and mint dark chocolate on the nose, the palate is made up of honey, hints of ginger and a finish of elegant fruits and spices with dark chocolate.
