Ardbeg 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the peatiest and most complex whiskies globally. It balances intense peat with the natural sweetness of malt. Awarded World Whisky of the Year in 2008, it has a light gold color and aromas of smoky fruit, zesty lemon and lime, and waxy dark chocolate. On the palate, it offers crackling peat, tangy citrus, black pepper, and cinnamon-spiced toffee, alongside briny notes of buttermilk, ripe bananas, and currants. The finish is long and rich, featuring dry espresso, liquorice root, and tarry smoke.

A discontinued bottling and much difficult to find, this is one of the few Ardbegs with an age statement. The first bottling of the 17 years old marked the revival of Ardbeg's legacy after the new owners Glenmorangie took over in 1997 but was sadly discontinued thereafter. Gentle peat bringing though a mix of malt and vanillins on the nose. Peat is more present on the palate with a chewy middle and touch of cocoa. Finishes with a hint of liquorice and dry toast and continues for some time. Please note the slight damage on the box. Comes with original insert. Sold in "as is" condition.

This aged expression from Ardbeg released in 2016 contains whisky distilled during some of the most precarious days of Ardbeg's past when only a handful of casks were set aside. Sumptuous and soothing, melding pepper, rye balanced with Ardbeg's characteristic peat smoke.
Matured in ex-bourbon casks for 21 years and filled by Micky Heads, the Distillery Manager at Ardbeg, 8268 bottles were released in 2016.

First released since 2021 as a part of the core release in limited batches from the Ardbeg Distillery, this specific bottle was bottled in Oct 2021. The whisky was distilled during the 1990s (some of the darkest days of the Distillery and when the production volume was quite small) and matured in ex-bourbon casks.
"Smoked cream, earthy bonfires interlaced with layers of pine and fragrant candle wax. Hot pepper twists around sherbet lemon sweetness and hints of carbolic soap and tar with a finish of delicate aniseed, cream and fudge." - Producer Tasting Notes.

This is the general release (hence called Untamed Release) of 2011 Ardbeg Committee Release - Alligator - named such due to the high level of char of the virgin American White Oak casks used for maturation, which makes the inside of the cask surface look like an alligator skin.

One of 2012's most hotly-anticipated releases, Ardbeg Galileo is made up from casks distilled in 1999, some of which spent their full term of maturation in casks that previously held Marsala wine, imparting sweet tropical fruit flavours to the mix. Galileo's concept celebrates the well-publicised experiment whereby small quantities of Ardbeg were sent into space at the end of 2011 to see how they mature in zero gravity. About 15,000 bottles were reportedly released at an ABV of 49%.
