Released in August 2012, this whisky has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create the ideal finish Malt Master David C. Each bottle is part of a batch which comprises a few hundred bottles coming from a single cask and hence likely to somewhat different than the other batch while retaining the characteristics of Balvenie's spirit and flavours of rich sherry oak, dried fruits and subtle spices overlaid with a soft nuttiness and a nice long finish.
